Poke Privacy Policy

Summary

Poke does not require an account and does not show third-party ads. Your health record stays on your device. Poke uses RevenueCat to provide subscriptions. Poke uses the Meta SDK and Apple App Tracking Transparency only to measure app ads. Poke does not use a general product analytics service.

Information stored in the app

You can enter medication names, doses, injection dates and times, injection sites, weight entries, goal weight, side effects, reminder preferences, notes, and settings. Poke uses this information only to show your logs, calendar, reminders, progress, and estimated level charts in the app. This information stays in the local app database unless you export a file and choose where to send it.

Subscriptions and purchases

Poke uses RevenueCat to provide Poke Pro subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app customer identifier, purchase and subscription history, receipt information, device information, IP address, and the App Tracking Transparency status. Poke uses this information for app functions, subscription support, purchase analytics, and ad measurement. Poke has no account, and it does not send your health record to RevenueCat. RevenueCat describes its data practices in its privacy policy.

Ad measurement and tracking permission

On iOS, Poke asks whether you allow tracking. Poke gives you the same app functions if you allow or deny the request.

• If you allow tracking, Poke can give Meta an advertising identifier, a device identifier, and an app-scoped Meta identifier. RevenueCat can then send Meta subscription events, such as a trial start or subscription, so Poke can measure which ad produced the purchase.
• If you deny tracking, Poke keeps advertising identifier collection off. RevenueCat does not send your subscription events to Meta. Meta can receive an app activation without an advertising identifier, and Apple can provide aggregate, privacy-preserving ad attribution.

The Meta SDK can also receive crash information and other technical app or device data for app operation and measurement. This data does not include your health record.

Poke never sends Meta your medication, dose, weight, side effect, injection site, note, schedule, Health data, or exported files. Meta describes its data practices in the Meta Privacy Policy.

Support emails

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information that you include. We use it to answer your request and troubleshoot the issue. Do not send sensitive medical information unless you decide that it is necessary.

Reminders and notifications

If you enable reminders, notification scheduling is used to remind you about logged routines. Notification permissions are controlled by iOS settings.

Health data

If you select Connect Apple Health, Poke asks to read body mass only. Poke does not write to Health, does not read another Health data type, and does not send Health data off your device. You can deny or remove Health access in iOS Settings, and Poke will continue to work.

Your choices

You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings. This stops future advertiser-identifier use, but it does not remove data that a service processed before the change. You can remove Apple Health access in iOS Settings. You can cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.

Retention and deletion

You can delete entries with the controls in Poke. You can remove the local database by deleting the app. Apple, RevenueCat, and Meta keep purchase or ad-measurement data under their own retention rules. Children

Poke is not intended for children. The app is for adults who use it as a personal record.
